1:1 Leisure Sessions
We offer leisure sessions within the local community, these sessions are all individually tailored to suit each service users needs and interests with the main focus being enjoyment and enhancement. Our staff operate with a friendly yet professional manor so that these sessions have the flexibility to feel relaxing and enjoyable. Within our leisure sessions we also offer group workshops doing activities such as crafts, team building and dancing. The focus of these workshops is to enable individuals to develop their social skills whilst meeting new peers in a friendly but supported environment.
Here are some examples of the services BrighterLifeCare provide support for:

We are very flexible with the activities we provide. Understanding that each individual has unique interests and hobbies; we are open to and would love to hear you ideas and suggestions!
In addition to 1:1 regular support sessions BrighterLife Care also offer a number of group activities, events and workshops to attend throughout the year. These are a great opportunity for service users to enjoy the activities they like whilst socialising within a safe and relaxed environment.
Similarly to our leisure sessions all group workshops and activities are tailored to suit the needs of the service users involved.
It is also essential that we communicate with parents, carers and most importantly service users to enable us to plan whats needed or desired.

BrighterLifeCare are now offering a new Employment Scheme service.
This service is designed to help young people and adults with special educational needs, and disabilities bridge the gap between college and employment.
What the Employment Scheme offers: BrighterLife Employment scheme is a tailored service. This allows us to adapt our employment packages to meet the needs of our service users. Our main package is made up of six one-to-one meetings. During these meetings service users will work though an employment toolkit, create an in depth CV, be paired with an appropriate work mentor, get job matched with a suitable disability friendly employer, practice interview skills, attend informal meetings, have support whilst completing their application process and create a progress and achievements portfolio.
The overall aim of the employment scheme: BrighterLifeCare aims to secure a placement by the end of the scheme. During the meetings service users will have already started to grow in confidence and will be starting to take their first steps towards independence within all aspects of their lives. All placements will give service users the opportunity to develop employment skills within the areas of work they are interested in pursuing a career. Not only will service users be building relationships with their BrighterLife mentor, but also with employers. We feel that having good work relationships and being part of a team is essential. The overall aim being to work towards paid employment and other training opportunities and finally a feeling a sense of achievement through setting personal goals and recording progress.
The purpose of employment support: By assisting service users in a way that leads to the acquisition of new skills, and highlighting their capabilities we have the expectation that they will develop a sense of hope, optimism, and self-efficacy. As BrighterLife start to build positive relationships with employers, we feel this will help to start breaking down barriers into the workplace. With the intention being to benefit young people and adults with special educational needs and disabilities. When breaking down the barriers, and bridging the gap between college and employment.
We hope to help to create a happier, more connected and productive society.
